Frequently Asked Questions
How does Neravio™ Rust Converter work?
How does Neravio™ Rust Converter work?
Neravio™ Water-Based Rust Converter & Metal Restorer reacts with properly prepared surface rust and helps transform it into a stable protective layer. Unlike ordinary paint that only hides corrosion, it helps seal the treated metal against moisture while creating a cleaner, dark metallic-looking finish.
Do I need to remove all the rust before applying it?
Do I need to remove all the rust before applying it?
No extensive sanding to bare metal is required. However, you must remove loose or flaking rust, dirt, grease, oil, and moisture first. Use a wire brush or scraper to remove unstable material, then make sure the surface is clean and completely dry before applying Neravio™.
What types of metal can I use it on?
What types of metal can I use it on?
Neravio™ is designed for compatible rusted iron and steel surfaces, including automotive frames and brackets, fences, gates, railings, tools, machinery parts, and outdoor metal fixtures. Always test a small hidden area first. It treats surface corrosion but cannot repair metal that is already perforated or structurally weakened.
How do I apply Neravio™ Rust Converter?
How do I apply Neravio™ Rust Converter?
Clean and dry the surface, then brush on an even coat of Neravio™ directly over the remaining stable rust. Allow it to react and cure without exposure to rain or moisture. Once fully cured, leave the protective finish exposed or cover it with a compatible topcoat according to the package directions.
How long does it take to dry?
How long does it take to dry?
Drying and full-curing time can vary depending on temperature, humidity, surface condition, and coating thickness. Keep the treated area dry and undisturbed while it cures, and do not apply another coat or topcoat until the surface is fully ready. Always follow the timing instructions printed on your Neravio™ packaging.
Do I need a primer, and can I paint over it?
Do I need a primer, and can I paint over it?
A separate primer is generally not required on compatible, correctly prepared rusted metal. Once Neravio™ has fully cured, its metallic protective coating can serve as the finished surface or as a base for a compatible paint or topcoat. Test compatibility before coating the entire area.
